Thanks for that Douglas, I found one picture on line of when The Mount was being demolished, but I don't suppose the area was of enough importance for there to be much recorded about it.

Master Chef

Well, who's going to win Master Chef ? For a time  I did think  Larkin would run away with the title, but now I wouldn't be surprised if either sweet little Natalie or modest Dale didn't snatch it away.

sweet potatoes

I thought that I would try some sweet potatoes the skin was the colour of a king edward, but when I peeled them some were orange and some white, they tasted great when cooked. But what I want to know is? is this normal some orange and some white, any one ... more »

All the sweet potatoes I have had are an orangy colour. I enjoy them best roasted - I also do a mix of sweet potatoe and normal potatoe as a mash and they are also great being added to stews etc. My 'veggie' man is coming today - I will ask about the ... more »
