I hired a carpet master from B & Q and all the liquids for around £50.00 the results were amazing, Twenty quid of the sum mentioned was a deposit -you can hire for two days for not much more.

Tumble drier

Does anyone want a tumble drier? It'll be removed from my kitchen tomorrow, probably, and if you come and get it, it's yours for free. It's a bit fluffy but works fine, vents through a tube through a hole in the wall. Please message me if you want it.

Why so many police racing down Franche Court Road last night?

Anyone heard what was going on in the middle of the night last night?  I would say 5 or so police cars with bells and whistles flew down the road towards Tooting.  Wonder what was going on?  Ideas>

Circling helicopter(s)

Last night I was woken at around 1.30am thinking that the roof was falling in.  It took a couple of minutes to realise that the deafening noise, rattling windows and shaking walls were caused by a helicopter circling overhead.  I looked out of the window ... more »

I heard it too and have heard helicopters circling in the past over this area but it doesn't happen very often and I agree with Vivian B that it is probably the police or medical services.

Was it about 115am? If so, it was a vehicle pursuit in which three people were detained. The police helicopter has a twiter account @MPSinthesky which will tell you where they are/have been. At least they got the bad guys,,,

Sorry yes I forgot to mention price - he's very reasonable too, his quote was within the same ballpark as our quote from Hillary's and about a third of the price of Thomas Sanderson! We had 4 quotes, Mark wasn't quite the cheapest but we went with him ... more »

I have a similar issue with Bolingbroke Grove running parallel to Trinity Rd! Is that a Wandsworth Road?

Yes it is. Wandsworth goes up to South Clapham station where the borough of Lambeth starts.
