I believe, though I could be wrong, that one of our RA councillors abstained from the vote against the first homeless hostel on Southend Road. The main problem is that even if our councillors vote against something, the rest will vote for it to ... more »

It'll be good to slow down the traffic and maybe deter drivers from using the high street. However, I reckon that drivers will park on the pavement to go to the cash points and destroy the paving blocks. Still appears to be a kerb. Not dissimilar to ... more »

Unfortunately, they aren't "regenerating" the bit from Billet Lane traffic lights up to Abbs Cross Lane though.  Shame, as that pavement could really do with some attention.  Will also make the High Street look a bit unfinished.  Still think removing the ... more »

Bill E inactive, did he jump or was he pushed?

Does anyone on here know why Bill E has been posted as 'Inactive'. Has this man been thrown off Streetlife for being too critical. I thought that Bill made some fair comments on here, i for one would like to see his post's continue.

He jumped. It takes something pretty extraordinarily bad to get banned from the site.  I can count the number of times it's happened on the fingers of one hand.
