Hi Bunty,  I've just sent you a DM.  Kindest regards Jake.

You could try www.anyvan.com. They do exactly what you are looking for i.e. match up delivery companies with customers. I've used them successfully a couple of times. Good luck! Jane www.equilibriumacupuncture.co.uk

I need small job done in my garden to repair a section of the fence - probably needs a new post or two but the fence itself is ok - any recommendations for someone reliable who can do a small job like this without charging the earth?

NHS dentist required

My lovely dentist has retired and toothache means I must find someone else.  I tried Trinity Fields but would not go back there so look forward to your recommendations!

Ian, the same happened to me there although I did not bother to make an appointment.  It truly is a minfield.

I recommend what was until recently Normal McArthur on Webb's Road.  She's just retired, and the three remaining dentists are all good.  Not sure whether they are taking on NHS patients right now though.

I interviewed a great bloke who is heavily into model railways for a local magazine called Village, he has one in his garden.  Definitely a growth hobby and certainly not all anoraks.  If you want to contact him, private message me.

You have made relevant and sensible comments Jill and one can only hope Wandsworth Council pays attention. These trees never properly recover and some just die, it's an upsetting business
Carolyn D
I welcome the reply from Wandsworth Council which gives their point of view in a considered and constructive fashion. It is perfectly true that growth left unchecked may (not will) cause subsidence and accidents. I recall there was a tragic accident a ... more »

Tumble drier

Does anyone want a tumble drier? It'll be removed from my kitchen tomorrow, probably, and if you come and get it, it's yours for free. It's a bit fluffy but works fine, vents through a tube through a hole in the wall. Please message me if you want it.

Hi - I am looking at property listings in this complex and service charges seem quite steep - can anyone give the unvarnished truth about what it's like to live here?

I live in a house there. I don't think the service charge is too bad when you  have a gym to use whenever you like on site, beautiful grounds and a quiet library with wifi that you can use to work or study in. My older children study in there away from ... more »

Why so many police racing down Franche Court Road last night?

Anyone heard what was going on in the middle of the night last night?  I would say 5 or so police cars with bells and whistles flew down the road towards Tooting.  Wonder what was going on?  Ideas>
