Stolen Bicycles
Hi just some helpful info to help in the event your bike is lost or stolen. Take a picture of your bike and write down the make, model, colour and any unique markings such as scratches in the paint or any new stickers you might of added and also the frame number. you can find your unique frame number underneath the bike frame around the bottom bracket area. another helpful tip is to take a small sheet of paper and write your details on such as name address and phone number. take the bar end cap off your handle bars and roll up the sheet of paper and slide it inside the handle bars. this is another great way of proving you are the owner of your bike. also a link to some helpful info on choosing a bike lock.

This is very helpful information, I never thought of putting info into the bar ends... Great...
Thanks Paul, I did forget to mention one other thing though, make sure to put your details in a little plastic packet before you put it in the bar end otherwise it will just be a soggy lump from going out in the rain he he.
Good call,,, thanks for that.
BTW Have u heard about the Etape Pennines Ride next October, starting and ending at Ushaw College ?
No I didn't, who is organizing the event and how many miles is the ride?
I just Google it m8 and found it strait away http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/cyclosportive/article/sp20111125-2012-Etape-Pennines-route-announced-0 ... 78 miles now that's a bike ride :¬ )
Yeah I was interested in doing it, but the entry fee a bit steep £60 ... better start saving up, especially if am doing the Beast again next year,, I posted ino on Streetlife about it HERE
