I might as well add our book to your list:
http://www.amazon.com/Frustrations-Venus-Mars-Multilingual/dp/1456898302/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1326783660&sr=1-1-spell
by two Roehampton authors. The book is called 'The frustrations of Venus and Mars' and is adult humour. It is about a middle-aged married couple and, even after years of marriage, still don't understand each other. I haven't pushed it because I thought the publishing company were charging too much at £15. If you are interested then you can contact me, Ged Mitchell, on 0208 487 8582 where I can sell them at £9 and only make 50p profit.
Brickbox are organising a literary festival in Tooting in Feb called Tooting Tales. May be worth contacting them to see if there are any promotional oppportunites.
Thank you. I will give them a call. Do you have their number or e-mail link?
At the risk of hijacking your post, I'm also a (relatively) new local author, living in Putney. I've had the first 2 books of a children's fantasy trilogy published, with the 3rd out this summer. I also give creative writing workshops in schools (you may have seen my posts on here before). The titles of my books are 'Ben and the Book of Prophecies', 'Race for the Heir' and (not yet out) 'Meridian Obsidian'.
The first book is available in Waterstones Putney (hopefully the 2nd one soon too!) and on Amazon. More info can be found on my website: www.benandthebookofprophecies.com. I can also be contacted through this site if you're interested in finding out more about my school visits (which are aimed mainly at Years 5 and 6).
