Strange Man (warning for ladies and teens)

Last week (Monday or Tuesday eve, between 9pm and 11.30pm) I was walking round the corner of Trevelyan Road when a man came forward from behind the stairwell of the building directly opposite to Carpetright saying 'Do you wanna see my d***'. I have no idea if he was really displaying his wares or not as I initially didn't look but kept on walking. I then thought it would be a good idea to see his face and so turned back, he was crossing the road and again made the same offer. But it was too dark to see who he was.

I didn't feel particularly threatened, he just seemed like an idiot, but in case it is more than that I thought I should post this message so that ladies can be vigilant when walking around at night.

Maybe that dark corner under the stairwell should have a spotlight. Are there any other dark corners in Tooting that people are uncomfortable passing by? and has anyone else encountered such idiots?

As my friend said. Men are weird. You wouldn't get a woman doing that. Maybe men should make their mates/acquaintances aware that such activities as well as more abusive ones are 'not on'. Its only by social pressure that we'll see less of this kind of thing happening.

Why don't you post this on Wandsworth police Facebook site and then maybe they can keep watch?

Hi Pippa, thanks, and may I suggest reporting it to the local SNT (safer neighbourhood team) and/or your street's neighbourhood watch coordinator - this surely can't be legal?!

Pippa

These people are sick. You should have taken a photo of him (if you had a camera on your phone).

P.s men would probably say yeh go on show me (no offence attended)

Can I reenforce that advice - see the local safer neighbourhood team. I absolutely applaud your attitude in that you weren't shocked and didn't pretend to be shocked. Reporting it may help others who are more worried.
Nevertheless the "flasher" is probably in some way mentally ill.

Definitely report it as sadly this kind of behaviour often escalates into something more serious.

I do know there have been a couple of reports of a man urinating in the street in broad daylight.
