Wandsworth Enforcement - Just how bad does it have to get before you act?
This is a photo taken this morning at 9.15.
Rather than let Fountains collect it and destroy evidence send someone down to investigate now and DO something!
What was the result of last weeks 'investigation'?

One step at a time Rik. This has been a problem for years. I don't think it is random flytipping but residents. The council do a good and swift job clearing up (already acknowledged in several posts) but thanks to Streetlife we are now seeing some action from the enforcement team. Whether it works or not remains to be seen.
This is my house front this morning after the rubbish was collected...or was it? .
I don't think its a case of one step at a time the enforcement teams can put up notices and try and deter people from dumping but will be pretty much powerless to act unless they have some solid evidence that's all I was saying!
I agree it is residents dumping and not fly tippers but all in all its the same thing, one area the council could look at to try and stop residents is an overhaul of the current waste collection services as the prices they charge to collect household waste is ridiculous, if it was lower people may use that service I know when I looked into it earlier this year it worked out cheaper for me to hire a van and take to the tip myself and pay commercial prices to dump it, and that shouldn't be the case.
To obtain 'solid evidence' they do need to check the dumped rubbish and this can't be done from an office. Until there is a check they will never know what evidence they will find.
That was my point.
