Holiday in Europe

Hi  All, I am looking for a summer holiday in Europe . Prefer a villa for family of 4,  walking distance to  shops & resturants, with sunshine. Can you recommend any wonderfull places you have been?  I am not sure  where to start.

Thank you.

Try looking at the family friendly bolt holes web site.  They have a huge selection of places to go at different budgets and in different places. A friend of mine has just used them to find a wonderful place in France. It is essentially a gite (spelling?), but it also has lots of family things on site like play areas and also restaurants very close.

Have a look at Owners Direct website.

Try Portugal. The Algarve. Guaranteed good weather. Lots of villas available. Different prices depending on area and how close to the sea, but most have their own pool. Anyone under 40 speaks English over there. Food and drink is very reasonable. Much cheaper than ours. You also have nightlife or family entertainment. Lots to do. Can't go wrong. I stay just outside of Albufeira old town. Sight seeing. Beach. Shops. Restaurants. Villa moura marina. So much to do day and evenings. Good value for money.

If you fancy a small village in South of France, check out our friend's property that we had a lovely time in at Easter.

Local restaurants and bread shop within walking distance.
