I remember someone on street life a while back saying they had had bay trees and pots stolen from outside their house - I hope they still read this!

Me too Ellie so I thought it would be useful to post it on here in the hope that people can reclaim their beautiful trees.

The link I posted was to the updated site which the met only posted yesterday. This isn't meant to be about scoring points for posting first it's abouts communicating something that the community might find useful. I wasn't trying to steal your thunder Jean, I just feel passionate about this issue and wanted to try to help those whose treasured property had been stolen to get it back.

Whatever and who ever did posted, what an extraordinary sight - all those poor people having lost their plants -let's hope this can reunite the plants with their owners and restore a bit of human faith. Thank you for posting.

more importantly, I hope anyone who has lost plants or trees and sees them on here will do their duty and help the Police prepare a case against thosr who have stolen the items. This may be very simple but may also involve giving a statement or even going to appear in court. Just remember if you decline to do this the theives are likely to walk free.
