Apologies if I am jumping in here, but I will be cleaning up this weekend (if i am not lazy), and expect loads of clothes to be put aside for charity. Do any charities come and pick up clothes as well please?

Yes, give it to Oasis Tooting.  I love going in there.  They tidied it up once (about 5 years ago) and nearly spoiled it.  Now it's back to its original thrown-together, olde-curiousity-shoppe style and it's brilliant.  North London friends of mine, when they come to visit, always allow half an hour extra so they can go in an rummage. 

 And they often do nice (slightly camp) window displays.
