Need a new female GP Any suggestions on a good local GP ( women preffered ) who is actively yours and you can recommend. Must be special to recommend please, I have had some disappointing experiences :( Tweet Comments Showing 14 of 14 Chris 10 months, 3 weeks ago Try the Elborough Street Surgery - if not 100% female doctors than close to it. My wife swears by it and it raised our kids with no visible signs of damage. Miriam M 10 months, 3 weeks ago I'm with the Pountney St Clinic: there are two excellent female doctors there. Dr Kroll & Dr. Tonkin (much younger). There is an 8.30am emergency walk-in surgery. They are closed on Sats. If you ask for a specific doctor when wanting an appointment you might not get in the same day but you won't be waiting too long. From memory I think they have three or four ladies. Rachel B 10 months, 3 weeks ago Dr Wallat -Vago at Trinity Medical Centre on Balham High Road ( near tooting bec) is my fabulous female Gp. I am a ward sister and take my own healthcare very seriously and she is definitely taking very good care of me as I am going through a serious illness at the moment. I highly recommend her!! She is young, supportive and on the ball. 0208-812-4170 is the surgery number where she works with her father who is also a doctor. Sylvia 10 months, 3 weeks ago I would recommend Dr Mercedes Abiri - who is a kind and gentle person seeing me thru cancer and numerous other ailments with a very thorough approach. She practices out of Trevelyan Road Surgery - no 27http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=trevelyan%20road%20surgery&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0CFMQF... Love Generation 10 months, 3 weeks ago HI Mercedes - What sort of bad experiences have you had with your GP? [If it's private & You don't wish to disclose - that's fine :-) ] Ian Bull 10 months, 3 weeks ago I second the recommendation for Lavender Hill Group Practise. Dr. Kroll is an outstanding GP and I'm sure she wouldn't have recruited a second-rater in Dr. Tonkin.Must be getting old. Upon my Mother being taken ill I remember Dr. K being brought to the house as a young student by her predecessor!Best - Ian Rhona O'C 10 months, 3 weeks ago Dr. Salt or Dr. Ovaisi at the Thurleigh Road Practice (between Nightingale Lane and Broomwood Road). They're both lovely SammySamak 10 months, 3 weeks ago Its not very clear where you are Pascale but if you live between Wakehurst Rd & Nightingale Lane/Clapham Common Westside & Bolingbroke Grove you're in the catchement area for what is widely recognised as one of the best, if not the best, GP surgery in SW London - the Thurleigh Road Practice (http://www.thurleighroadpractice.co.uk/ ). Huge demand for their services means the catchement area is gradually shrinking thanks to NHS rules but the fact that two-thirds of the doctors are female and that the nurse practitioners (all female) are highly regarded means that they are well-attuned to womens' health matters (even the male doctors!!).Notable are Drs. Nasiruddin & Ovasi. carmina m 10 months, 3 weeks ago Dr wallat Vago at Trinity Medical Centre has looked after me and my family for over ten years and is a wonderful doctor. Cathy T 10 months, 3 weeks ago I would recommend 2 of our 4 female GP's at my practice in Queenstown Road. They are Helen Eakin and Sian Job. I have been with them for many years with revolving problems that they have solved for me. Good luck with your hunt. I would also recommend The GP practice in Pountney Road as have had dealings with their female GP's with success. Again, good luck,Cathy Mercedes Pascale Ginactive 10 months, 3 weeks ago Thank you everyone for your recommendations :) Very much appreciating the word of mouth...Thx Streetlife. ANLinactive 10 months, 3 weeks ago A bit late to this post Mercedes, but I have found Dr K Salim who works out of a surgery in Trinity Road and Streerforth Road, Earlsfield really good. She's really perceptive, thorough and efficient!Good luck.ANL x Comments are closed. Why not start a new conversation?
