I think it looks good.

So do I.  It seems to be sympathetic to the site and very thoughtfully designed.  It would be great to see the building in use again.  

The plan isn't to convert the Lodge into a cafe.  That's a separate building.  The Lodge is intended to be an interior design business/showroom.

The car showroom is for classic cars.

I had images of arthur daley at first mention of a car showroom, Had a read through the supporting literature which looked ok. To be honest, the site isnt going to be turned into a bohemian physic garden anytime soon. hopefully this will restore the lodge to its former glory

This doesn't look too concerning at all - i would just be glad to see the site finally in use again (within reason) and this seems like a sensible, sympathetic proposal.

I think this looks like a good idea. The cafe would certainly be a nice addition tooting does not have much to offer other then chicken joints.... The scheme for the lodge it self looks nice. Finally someone who will restore it to it's original glory. I managed to speak to one of the designers who was taking pictures and asked him what was going on. From what I can gather the new owners wanted to use the whole site as a classic car display but when they put a sign to ask what the locals wanted they were inundated with a cafe idea and for the lodge to be used and appreciated by all ten locals so they came up with tis idea. Also to be used for selling local artist works. What a great idea. I will certainly looming door my paint brushes and become the next Freud... Nice to see someone listening to locals instead of inviting them and then submitting a scheme they are against.

This is rather good. I cannot understand anyone who would be against it. I am supporting this scheme 100% and I live very close by.

Francois you are right good plan as long as it's not a fried chicken joint!! Sounds very classy. We really do need somewhere cool in tooting. As i have to go to Balham to find somewhere nice for a coffee.
