Anyone joing in with the celebrations.  Im going to Hornchurch and have a family fun day with friends and maybe include a visit to the pub lol.

I'm going to avoid the road closures by catching the tube from Upminster to Hornchurch and then join friends in the Railway pub to watch it go by. Simple.
Pete L
We'll be at the end of Suttons Avenue, cheering the torch bearer on to Hornchurch Station.

I'm going to the Green by the Queens Theatre. So glad the sun is shining!

Watched it at the top of suttons gardens where they actually done a handover. Was nice to see so many people out and cheering the touch on

I went and it was worth the wait. Pity about the compere
By the way did the BBC broadcast the torch at Hornchurch ?
Normally we do not exist on the BBC
Jonathan W
Link into this site whicch shows the BBC recording of the entire route. Adjust it to the bit where you were to see yourself perhaps.

My point is that Hornchurch torch procession was not shown on the BBC TV news as is Wimbledeon and South London ,Croydon etc The you tube clip is of Rainham

Pete L
Here is the torch passing the Railway pub nr Hornchurch Station, you can travel the route by estimating the time it was near you.

Cannot watch it on my Mac computer unless I load flash player
Once again my complaint is that the BBC did not mention Hornchurch on TV
Pete L
Of course you can, I watched it on both my Mac and my MacBook Pro.
You should have flash loaded on your Mac, but obviously not on an iPad or similar device.
However, you can instal apps to convert flv movies to mp3

OK I can get my son to do the necessary to watch it on my computer
but it still was not shown on BBC TV stations (disregarding computers)
Pete L
I don't understand your point Robert, sorry. There's loads of this torch run not on TV, not just Hornchurch.
Robert l C
Pete
I concede.I must find something else to complain about !

In Hornchurch there were lots of people and I ended up at the Queens but unfortunately I didn't see much but the crowd was buzzing and I did get to the Firkin pub while in Hornchurch so that was good.
Dani
The Firkin made a rea effort they had 2 bouncy castles for the kids and even free drinks and sweets for the kids too which I thought was really nice of them.  Makes a change to get thi gs given to you free.  There was such a warm welcoming there it  was nice.
