Having fun at the olympics
Just wanted to put a positive post on how much I am enjoying the Olympics! Myself, one year old and husband cheered on the flame when it arrived at Central Park during the Newham Mayor's Show, which was absolutely brilliant with lots of activities which kept my baby and my bigger kid (my husband) amused! At the show we got the tickets for residents to tour the park. We subsequently went and had a great time, the army and police were sooo friendly, and the volunteers really do spread good cheer. Though we couldn't go into the venues, the crowd outside were so lovely and everyone was in a good mood to cheer Team GB on! Aren't they doing well? And don't you think London is being shown as one of the greatest cities in the world? We have so much to be proud of, just hope people can be a bit more positive some times!

I was lucky enough to see the Hockey GB men beat the Argies! and it was great, the atmosphere was fantastic inside the stadium and outside in the Park, we even got a wave from Lenox Lewis and Gary Liniker form the BBC studio.
It was strange everyone was nice, there was no dodgy looking ass-holes wearing hoodies, no attiude, no what what, inint....It was nice people enjoying a great day out enjoying themselves, it was an amazing day, and one I will never forget.
I'm no real sports fan but I'm absolutely loving the Olympics, and really looking forward to the Paralympic Games at the end of August.
The vibe around Stratford has been fantastic. Seeing the teams and visitors from around the world wandering around the streets of Stratford is surreal, but a lovely sight to see.
Proud to be a Londoner and proud to be British!
