We should be much more positive, and celebrate our surroundings

Think it all depends on what you want from life! We have just moved here from London and we absolutely love it here.

We have lived here for 30 years (I relocated from the London area) and are very happy, we love it here too.
Carole A
I have lived here for 4 years now
The countryside is beautiful, the coast is too.
I am very happy here

We moved here a year ago. Love the surrounding countryside and having the town nearby is great. We have found the local people kind and friendly in general. We have started are own business here and have never been so happy.

Agree with all the above comments and we too feel like all our Christmasses have come at once. We love it kids love it even the animals seem much more content. Our health has improved as well, think the smog in London took it's toll.

I used to live in Blundeston on the Prison Estate, no I was not an inmate haha, but I loved living in Blundeston, wondering down the marshes walking the dogs, was total bliss, if I could get back there I would in a flash, but now we live in Saxmundham a very small town ..

hi june,
yes it can be a bit lonely at times, i felt the same when i first moved up as all friends and family down london, perhaps we should arrange a meet for newcomers,!

If you are at least 50 then there are lots of things going on at the local U3A.  Unfortunately it is on it's summer break at the moment.

You could also drop into the various coffee mornings and if you see someone sitting alone ask if they mind  you joining them.

Hi Lyn
What a good idea.
Perhaps we could all meet up somewhere for a coffee and a good old natter!!!
Maybe Asda's  coffee bar ?????
June P

YES THAT WOULD BE A GOOD idea         i did started   one in Hitchen and

its going strong still after 15 years but as changed quite a lot but dont matter as

long as it works  they go out to lunch once a month

would be good tIme in ASDAS or TESCOS as they have verry good space upstairs    maybe in afternoon as they are  not     BUSY
Lyn W
sounds a good idea to me ,we could always meet at waterside for the first then take take it from there as to where and what happens next, let me know
Carole A
So lets all meet up at Asda's !
Just need to sort out when we can all make it
I am free tomorrow!!
How about everyone else????

It seems there are many lonely people about who wish to make friends with other like minded people. May I suggest it would be more beneficial if they included their own particular intrests. Gardening. Walking. Writting. Painting. Get-to-Gethers.Etc, etc.
Just a little infomation about their own particular intrests. Then others can help them find what it is their looking for. Isn't this what Streetlife is all about? We are all in the same boat, why not share it.

Good day all, I am sorry that there are many people out there feeling lonely and looking for friends.   Can I invite you to a Coffee Morning 10.00 -11.30 held every Friday morning at the Methodist Church corner of London Road South & Carlton Road.   It is open to all, you do not have to join the Church at all, we serve Tea, Coffee & Biscuits.   There is a second hand book stall with many different tastes available.   And there will always someone there to greet you and have a natter.

Can we not meet in the evenings or at weekend some of us have work. I think its an excellent idea that we all meet but feel Carole A should perhaps suggest where and when she would like to meet as it was her intiative that got us all communicating. Our interests include gardening, dogs, fishing, motorcycles and eating out.   Peter and Dawn

Good morning all!!

Would Asda's coffee bar be a good place?
One day next week to give us all some time
Maybe we could all say what day would be good
I cant make next tuesday ...but any other day would be fine
Look forward to hearing from you all
