No one wont pay more council tax!
the population continues to rise and even recycling 90% of everything may not be enough....i hope it is
Irving the collect not less rubbish ,the collect to different times.
Fly tipping. Its a problem no matter where one resides. Anti social behavior is also a problem. But not my problem.
My Problem is that Haringey Council are not as "Green as they portray". I have constantly been on at the relevant departments for a long time but they have no solution to any problems. I have suggested to re-educate some of our Neighbours, most of whom have come from very poor countries and have lived in poor conditions. "Monkey See Monkey do" . If the council actually did it's homework and realised there is a bigger issue with rubbish collections or the lack of, resulting in Domestic waste being deposited in OUR STREETS and to the entrances to OUR PARKS, They may realise that some areas of the borough have heavier occupation than others. Therefore should deploy resources effectively to manage, control and finally tackle this problem. I am certainly not suggesting that regular rubbish collection will end antisocial behaviour, I am convinced of it. WHY Because I am surrounded by it everyday and so are my children and I am still not seeing a decrease in my council tax either. Who deals with the rubbish in the street? The dustman each fortnight? Or is a separate cleaner deployed. How many times have I spoken to the Safer Neighbourhood team?
The point I am making is I do not believe for one minute that the council have our best interest at heart and want to freeze our council tax bills. Effectively managing our rubbish takes planning and monitoring. Something The council have a proven history of. Where are these professional who are taking a fair chunk of our Council Tax as a Salary.
We all live in hope I guess. Anyway, this is what greeted my children and I today.
then not at all, and we will have to recycle everything...
