dog fouling

I've just been asked by my parents if I could put a message on here for them. They are having problems with a person, who is letting their dog foul near their home in Bramford (the Chapelfield area.) A dog walker is allowing their dog to mess on the pavement outside the house and is leaving it for all to stand in. So if you are this person can you please clear it up as my parents are none to pleased, they live in a very clean area and this act is just disgusting.

When we had this problem about 20 years ago (before it became generally accepted that letting your dog poo on the pavement was anti-social, and before the advent of pooper scoopers etc), we pinned a firm but polite notice to our fence? I can't remember exactly, but it said something like "if your dog can't poo in its own garden, would you please get it to poo in the gutter, where it's less offensive". It stopped almost immediately.

Unless someone is allowing it vindictively, (which is unlikely) you would probably find the owner is simply an ignoramus. It might only move the problem somewhere else though.
