This morning I saw a Santa on a moped.......wish I took a photo.

The Charity Statue outside Fields...somebody has put a red hat and scarf round the girl....this is magical.

There is a waterfall from the top of Cliff Road to the sea, there also looks like there has been another cliff fall too.

Three serving in the Co-Op so not much of a queue.

Sidmouth looks lovely.

I too think the spirit of Christmas is at work:  Just walked my dog and apart from live music and singing from a few pubs, the town is so blissfully quiet... :)  10 o'clock on a Saturday night is not usually so civilized.

Don't cry, we have Valentine'sDay to look forward to soon, then Spring and Easter, then Summer and lovely Folk Week...  There's always something round the corner. :)

Wel, not this morning, they weren't...  Lonely guy at checkout had to call for queue-buster twice before one colleague deigned to wobble towards her station.  :(

First time I've known it so bad, Nick.  I think it's all down to a minority of employee's bad attitude, what can the dedicated ones do against that?  Such a shame they get tarred with the same brush, because some of them truly are doing their best.

Oh agreed Anne but what kind of Management is in place there.....If any??

I have seen the manager around there often enough, very nice man, perhaps a bit too benevolent though -so, some staff take advantage...  That's the trouvble with work ethics nowadays, not many people take pride in a job well done, so it takes a T-rex manager to keep things running well - sad paradox, really.

A manager who sets an excellent example in customer care. He should be able to rely on his staff following his example - but these days who knows? Having said that I still think it's a great friendly shop in the main.

I bow to your findings re efficent Manager at the Co-op...Unfortunately I have not yet had the pleasure of spotting him/her......But can't wait to be served with a smile for a change!!  .Happy New Year everyone !!!
