A random yet somehow poignant and elegant remark.

noise
move slightly out of town

It almost qualifies as haiku.

This really is fantastic and so true..

As a motorsport fan i find it infuriting when someone moved close to the race track and then somehow managaged to get a noise abatement order on it, a commercialy successful racing venue was suddenly strangled because of some selfish git that thinks motorsport should be silent...

This reminds me of a couple of similar incidents, 1st someone moved next to a church and then complained about the bells ringing on a Sunday morning, 2nd the person who moved into a newly built house next to a Blacksmith workshop that had been there since year dot and then complained about the hammering noise. The poor Blacksmith had 2 choices, either close down after a few hundred years of trading, or spend thousands of pounds sound proofing and also reducing his hours of work. We do live in a strange society.
