This is actually the polar opposite of Recommend a local business... I ordered a dining table and chair set off the internet on the 2nd December, the website stating that it was in stock. As this was a wedding gift, delivery was booked for tomorrow 3/12/13. Just taken a call ( 6pm ) saying that item is out-of-stock and delivery will be on hold until stock arrives, but no dates provided... What a bunch of wastrels, but what can you expect from a store ( both of 'em ) that has 4 or 5 tills but only staffs the customer service desk unless the queue threatens to leave the store, along with their stock...

Retailing analysts predict that Argos / Homebase group will not survive 2013...as they have not grasped the on-line revolution and are living in the retailing dark ages... but as long as they can keep your money for a month, and still not deliver, I guess that they can keep that ship afloat a little bit longer... I just wouldn't buy a kitchen off them at the moment, they might go bust before you ever receive it???
