I'm organising a litter pick near my house - who can come & help for an hour or two? http://www.sharonpavey.org/big-tidy-up-sun-20th-jan

Thanks, Sharon :)

I don't limit my litter picking to my house?area.  I have the habit of picking up at least one piece of litter on each of my two walks per day and if we all did a bit more of the same we would end up with cleaner streets.  Incidentally, I always find that there is more litter to pick up near pubs, supermarkets and after the recycle van has been around, on many occasions this is litter that has been generated by the emptying of my neighbours and my own recycle bins.  At one time we had a very conscientious street cleaner who followed the van and picked up anything that blew away or was accidentally dropped by the recycle men, who on the whole do a very good job often in weather that my cat would not go out in, so I am not having a 'Go' at them.

Sounds like you're already doing a great job Christopher - hoping you can join us on the 20th.
