You must be really worried. Have you put up posters offering the reward? A photo would be good too it draws people's attention. I do some voluntary work with an animal charity and I hear about this sort of thing all the time. I would suggest you contact the following, the local Animal Wardens (they are part of environmental health at your council), local vets, the local RSPCA you can find them online at www.rspca.org.uk  also check out parks etc; you could ask anyone who works in the parks. Youths sometimes take dogs and have no shame about walking them in the park. If you know any young people tell them about it as word could go round on the grapevine that there is a reward. Try online too there are lots of organisations that look for lost dogs and other animals. Young people are motivated to use computers so you could try putting something on Facebook, twitter etc offering the reward. Finally if you get her back make sure she is microchipped, our local animal wardens rountinely scan dogs in the park and they found one that had been stolen. Also neutering her if she is not already neutered will protect her from being stolen for breeding. Thieves wouldn't know she's neutered but they would soon find out she won't get pregnanat and would probably dump her as she would be no use to them. I do hope you find her. Let us know. PS. Note to EVERYBODY please don't leave your dog tied up outside supermarkets etc; or in the car. thieves are rountinely taking dogs left like this. They know how to approach a dog and are able to take any dog even a protective one.

Thank you so much for your response Linda. I became involved in this via a friend who is member of a voluntary missing dog search group who are helping DogLost. One of the frustrating things is that as soon as posters ate put up someone is taking them down. I'm surprised thieves are interested ad she's a cross breed. She's somewhere local and someone knows where but won't say. Her owner is beside herself with worry.

Do you have a photo of her? I could pass it on to people who do rescue work. Also the little coffee shop in Wanstead park might put up a poster for you. Please make sure the local animal wardens know about this, not only in the area but in surrounding areas too. It doesn't matter that she is a crossbreed they will still use her for breeding and they will pass the puppies off as a pedigree dogs. If you go on a website called Catchat, its for cats but there is a section for lost animals and that will get you through to a national lost animal website that looks for any animal including dogs.

A photo is available on DogLost Linda.  The wardens in Redbridge and Epping Forest have been notified and local schools, etc. have posters.  It's a mystery.

Try Newham Animal Wardens. They cover parts of Wanstead. Someone who lost a dog some time ago from the Wanstead area recovered their dog from Newham Animal Wardens.

Saddened and disturbed to learn of this theft.  I have posted a tweet (https://twitter.com/RedbridgeBlue) and emailed my contact list.  The photos on DogLost are in fact PDFs and can't be easily attached / recirculated.  Can Alex get hold of a JPEG photo for circulation.  Social Media with a photo is perhaps the bestchanceof rescuing Banjo.  I am sure the Wanstead Guardian would run a photo as well.
