is there anything to do in the town

does anyone know if there's anything to do in this town for the working age population ie evenings/weekends?  the retired seem well catered for as what ever goes on goes on in the day,  but if you are still keeping the economy moving there seems to be nothing what soever

Hi, Yes, you are definitely right.  Exmouth is geared up for the elderly, which I think is about 70% of it's population.  When I invite friends to Exmouth it can be a tad embarrassing; unless you want to go to a pub, you are not left with much, especially if it is raining!

There is, thank goodness, the new Bowling Alley, the Cinema, (no evening shopping!), certain Restaurants, but that is about it, I think!  (Of course, there is also the occasional event at The Pavilion.  Trouble is, most of these places cost too much these days, (for me, anyway,) and so I cannot go to any of them.

I have given up now, and plan to move to Exeter.

Sorry I can't help any further.

Good luck, and best wishes,
