Sally, try to look for proper kefir in polish or lithuanian shop. They must have it. Two polish shops you can find on Hall Road... Scan shelves for white bottles labeled "kefir" in Polish or "kefiras" is Lithuanian language. Enjoy!

I bought some off Ebay a few months ago and it worked fine, I think it only cost about £2.50 with delivery.

Brilliant, thank you both - I'm looking for the actual culture rather than a bottle of the product; I doubt Polish shops sell that, but I'll check my local one and then go onto Ebay if not.
