The Camberley Society will
be undertaking a Walking Train on Saturday 24th October at
10.30am - starting at at Frimley
station. We will be walking from Frimley Station to
Farnborough Station, a distance of 1.3 miles. The objective of this is to
generate as much publicity as possible, highlighting the absurdity of the
current Camberley train service
The journey time from Waterloo to Camberley is quicker if you catch a train to Farnborough then walk from Farnborough Main to Frimley station and catch a train to Camberley, rather than catch a train from London to Camberley changing at either Ash Vale or Ascot.
This walk will be marshalled with full attention being given to safety. it will also be well publicised in the weeks leading up to the event - including contacting the 300 or so people who signed our paper petition at our 4 stands in Camberley Mall and the High Street over the summer. To return from Farnborough to Frimley/ Camberley we suggest using the No 1 bus or getting a lift.
