Phew!! They could easily have fallen into the wrong hands....
Any ideas for Xmas cards other than blue bin?
Oh that's handy Lynne-Thank you!
Forest Holme it shall be for me Sharon. Where do I drop them-office? Or have they a collection point?
Ok Sharon-thank you!
Looks like a few cars and vans being broken into Oakdale area for tools plus sheds and garages so need to careful
I too have the alerts. I don't have a side gate or walkway so as they'd need to do a lot of climbing to get to my garden I think I'm pretty safe, althoughI have taken the usual steps to guard my shed and summer house.

Sandra, I'm so sorry I didn't come. I had a return of the viral cough, and I didn't want to pass it in to anyone else. I hope to make the next one on 19th February
Reminder of contact number nearer the date please??
Thank you. I knew that the office would be closed and had no way of contacting you. My apologies again.
Looks like we all Mike Brooke a huge thank you. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/15039143.Councillor_forces_second_look_at_parking_charges_hike... Thanks Mike. Wish all Poole Councillors were as vigilant and public minded as you.
Signed and commented.
Well done Mike and Annette. I met Annette once just before she retired from Politics.?She came round introducing Vikki Slade to the community. A lady who always hit things done!! Sorry I couldn't be with you in Broadstone on Saturday.
That was a goodly number of extra signatures Mike. I've got a workman coming round-depending in the time he leaves I will try to get to the Cuvic Centre by 2pm.
Sorry I couldn't make it. Probably as well by the sounds of it. Thank you Peter for giving us the low down and for your reply Mike. I await with interest for your report Mike. Thank you for standing up for us.
Thank you for this Mike Brooke's and all that you do for us. Let us know if anymore help is required.
Knowing us Maureen we'd have spoken up anyway and got thrown out, lol!! Must have been a reason why we couldn't get there.
Why thank you David. We are as pure as the driven snow really. Mature in body, but definitely not in mind.
Given adequate notice Maureen and I will attend the next meeting. Watch out! The Mafia are coming!!
It is! Ooooh I too am little-but still have my husband's Police Truncheon and Whistle too!! Better use for the meetings than that silly old f**t Trumpton. Lol!!!
Oh I have my husband's Truncheon at the ready David, and the Whistle hasn't lost its pea. Very useful for fending off cold callers!! If I carried a brick in my handbag I'd be even shorter than I am!! Lol!!
Poole Council should be doing exactly the same as Bournemouth surely, or are they a law unto themselves? So that means, if that is the case, that the meeting held yesterday should be declared null and void. Am I on the right track?
Food for thought!
So Poole dies the death. No one will come to Poole to retail-shops are closing all the time and slowly the town is dying. When will the Council wake up to the fact that high car parking charges are the death nell? Bournemouth by contrast is flourishing.
Like the rest of Pople Yown it will die Vikki. Motorists are the backbone of industry nowadays.
Oh heck! Poole Town!! Oh no Maureen. But you are lucky that the battery is still in Warrenty-just! Whew! That was close!
I do hope they don't undervalue what happened and do call it "Stabbed in the Back". A worthy title indeed!
Thank you Michael for supplying the link for the Echo's report. And thank you to the editor for using stab in the back within the title heading for this report.
And you comrade in arms! Poole Park was a great attraction when or children were small and we came from Weymouth, when visiting mil. We do take the Grandchildren-they like the train in the summer and the playground, also Karting when it's on. At ... [ more ]
ASDA has dropped its parking charge-seems ongoing? Maureen my Grandchildren are content with Sandbanks Beach-whatever the weather! We've been in the pouring rain and one year-2015 I believe-in the snow! They don't need entertaining as they've always ... [ more ]
I didn't know Poole Pottery had gone! I knew about the train-'elf and safety innit? How blooming stupid!! That train has been going round Poole Park for donkeys years!!
Thank you PAULINE-thought the whole lot had gone! What's next after the pottery and the train eh?
No! That's against the law! I'm not a fan of the beach in winter either Maureen, but my Granddaughter is a sand worshipper. When she was little and we went in the summer she'd throw herself on the sand on arrival. I have no idea who the clothead is ... [ more ]
And hang the clothes so high up you cannot teach them....
Having the goods made up north, then purporting them to be made in Poole.
I've always gone to Robin James on the Quay for a back, neck and shoulder massage but its so expensive. I'm looking for a cheaper option. Does anyone know of a lady locally that does massage and beauty treatments?
Hi Sarah, Ali is a qualified Masseure. She's very good. Phone number 07762 885065. Say Colette gave you her number.
Brilliant. She's also a qualified hairdresser too!
Love it!The Mafia Ladies suits us down to the ground. I can't go to the meeting on 7th as choir night-shame!! Hope all goes well with your car. Yes get it serviced-might as well whilst it's in the garage. I'm with Green Flag too! I'm not an early ... [ more ]
Can someone please explain to me the logic or thinking behind putting 2 lanes in the northbound junction of the Gravel Hill/Queen Anne Drive Traffic lights? I can understand why there’s (always been) 2 lanes on the southbound side; there’s the left ... [ more ]
I agree with Maureen here. It's. it merge in turn at all! It's I'm bigger/better/faster than you so shove over! Accidents waiting to happen and foolhardy road design.
No-that's how it should work, but the lorry is not there. A car is there. A smaller car than yours. Logic, to you, says. I've got a bigger car so therefore I have priority and have to jump the queue! My logic says, oh no you don't sunshine-get to the ... [ more ]
Thank you Paul. The sign is not working because of the mentality of the me, me, me brigade. So do away with the second lane, make it safer for everyone. Sure it will take longer to get through the lights, as it does with every single lane set of ... [ more ]
It takes us women's logic to see that Maureen and Cherie. Thank you!
I taught both my boys to drive. Both passed first time and had two lessons with a friend who was a driving instructor. He said he learnt a thing or twonfrom the first one, that he added into his teaching. My daughter we paid for to attend a driving ... [ more ]
Well done Maureen. Yes-I intend to do that course this year. Will be good!
I agree about those halogen lights-downright dangerous! And if a car-usually a 4x4-is behind you the glare is reflected in your rear view mirror necessitating driving with one hand on the wheel and the other blocking the glare out or turning the ... [ more ]

This is harassment David. You're neighbours obviously have nothing else to do all day but watch your movements. I feel naughty thoughts coming on here-give then something to be worried about! Other than that tell them to mind their own b****y business ... [ more ]
Ha! Ha! Maureen that is even better!! So funny.
Like minds and all that. Yes Steph that's why they're doing it!! On the other hand it is annoying and is an invasion of David's space. It has to stop!!!
Like Maureen I too am widowed, but I have a social life. I've had to start from scratch in a foreign town. What more excuses are you going to give these irritants?
Lol!!! So Maureen and I were correct in our observations, the so called "experts" were way off beam! Nice to know we have the intelligence to see the full picture.
Ditto Maureen. I have wonderful neighbours. We have a chat when we see each other, but never a nosy chat!! They watch my house if I'm away, I if asked I watch out for my neighbours houses when they are away and have no one else to do it for them. We ... [ more ]

So very sorry to hear this Denise. So hard when you relocate to a new area. I hope that now you have joined Street Life this will happen for you.

Indeed David we do like be in the real world 🙂
