Hi I'm the Divisional Secretary at SSAFA Poole and the gentleman in the Bus station is being helped for the last four years by SSAFA. He is there by choice! He has a flat in Bournemouth but is not able to be there because of police issues. I can tell ... [ more ]

If they are Veterans please contact me and we will go and see them unfortunately the gentleman in the Bus station is well known to all agencies and police.

He has been helped money given for 3 flats but he is evicted because of his behaviour he has a personality disorder not PTSD! Nothing is due to his time in the services he chooses to be where he is. I have had many conversations with him

I cannot tell you more as there are police investigations going on. He will run SSAFA down and the Mental health team and probably the police

Could someone please help just was wondering why two roads on Canford Heath still has the old street lights, When all the other roads been changed to the new ones.

I much prefer the new lights it's lovely not to have the orange hue that you used to see. The men replacing them said these new bulbs last 3 times longer than the old ones. Also the wiring was 50 years old

Adapting bathroom

My mum is 92 and has a shower with a seat. the seat was fitted by Occupational therapist came and assessed her. I would suggest you get an assessment done as there is help out there rather than paying out for a bath that you won't use. As said you ... [ more ]

Go through Social Services they can send out an OT. I have a walk in long shower it fitted in exactly the same space as my old bath so its long and thin as they have said there is a shower for every space.
