Sue H
Peter R Interesting. It seems standard that if you go to a public meeting you are not allowed to say anything - otherwise there would be riots and arguments and they would never get through the meeting! - but, of course, it puts one off going, because ... [ more ]

Sue H
Dear Jude,  good luck with pup, but your pup will not be "all grown up by then" at only 13 wks old!! First six months the most hard work in terms of training, toilet training and socialising.
Sue H
best way is to take him out to the garden ,every hour, on the hour, to encourage him to do it outside rather than on the pads, but generally it takes at least 6 months to get a puppy fully toilet trained.  Good luck, he looks very cute.

Does anyone know of a small building or annexe suitable for a church fellowship at a reasonable rent please? We are outgrowing our present venue. It would need toilets and small kitchen facility.
Sue H
Jill R We were in the memorial hall, as it is a lot bigger, better kitchen, good venue, but brendon care deemed it too expensive( they have lost all their funding) it was  £38, weekly booking slot 1-4pm Wednesdays.( very reasonable for the size) so ... [ more ]

Sue H
Unfortunately, Steve had learnt the hard way -  it is always unwise to leave tools in a vehicle as they are much more of a target. We used to garden every day and always unloaded all equipment and returned them to the shed, which is fitted with a pad ... [ more ]
Sue H
Yeah, sorry, if you had a small garden, no space for a shed, or if you couldn't park near to it, you would have to leave tools in vehicle - so then you need tinted glass, a good locking system and so on....but what a sad reflection on society it is ... [ more ]
Sue H
Is this Steve with the two collies and the falconry birds ?...if so , very sorry as he is a top bloke and has done work for me.

Gravel Hill

Maureen H in Canford Heath
Does anyone know why 1 solitary tree has been left standing right in the middle of the cycle lane in the new layout in Gravel Hill. It was obviously missed when the other trees were taken down, so why hasn't some of the workers there brought this to ... [ more ]
Sue H
Maureen - everything about society is broken from top to bottom, so we just have to try to let it go over our heads, otherwise one would not even get out of bed in the morning.
Sue H
Josephine L  Yeah Jo, its called modern day ( in the words of judge rinder) stupid... a lot of it about and precious little common sense.  People just do what they like without thinking about how it may affect others...the me,me,me society.  I am gald ... [ more ]
Sue H
Don't know anything about the lone tree, but sure am feeling sorry for it ! - trees are good for the planet and should not be felled if healthy.

Green stuff by Shah

Carol
in Sterte
Curiosity has got the better of me . What is all that green stuff all over the pavement opposite the Shah?
Sue H
I suppose it is coloured to show that after it is used for a spillage the colour will indicate that it is contaminated, and to be disposed of appropriately?

As previously advised by Peter w, the procedure is to go on to actionfraud.police.uk website, complete the simple form /questions about the scam and then send a copy of it to NFIBPhishing@city-of-london.pnn.police.uk
Sue H
Maureen F  I reported because it was the third time i had received the Virgin scam, so i thought...that's it, i am going to report from now on.
Sue H
Maureen H  I got a cheap call blocker, but after a while, it messed up the phone so i ended up disconnecting it.
Sue H
Thank you Maureen - that explains why  we had trouble with it, as we are with Virgin media. Luckily it was only £28 - so, a waste of money, but not the end of the world. Thanks - and for letting people know.
Sue H
Wendy - that is awful. We don't seem to be troubled at the moment, perhaps the call blocker had blocked most of the nuisance calls before i had to ditch it, as it did work to start with. I agree more should be done.

yes, we went today and it was smaller than we anticipated - but still a big improvement on the old one, so musnt complain!
Sue H
Thank you Jill, as the population is 60 million, it is , as i said a small percentage- less than 15%. If you had a shop and space was at a premium - would you stock a line that is only going to appeal to less than 15% of your customers...i think not. ... [ more ]

After trying to find out the date for the new store to open without success, I asked a checkout lady in the Ringwood Rd store who used to work at Hatchpond. She said it is due to open on 8th December. Let's hope this happens.
Sue H
Maureen H  I went to the branksome one because the hamworthy store was so busy - but I got a £45 penalty car parking ticket , so I won't be going back! Looking forward to the new store, just like everyone else.
Sue H
Valerie Y  Yes Valerie, but by the time the penalty came through, i had shredded my receipts for the month - so no chance of a refund.
