You are not allowed to put cones out on the COUNCIL verges, hence why I report them & the council write to the house they are outside of telling them to move them. You are allowed to park on the COUNCIL verges as long as there are no double yellow ... [ more ]
Oh you mean common sense.
In complete agreement about time to walk into town. Public transport is as said expensive, unreliable and can put those that are frail weak or vulnerable at risk. The papers are full of incidents. I digress, this is about us legally parking on council ... [ more ]
It is right and should be issued more. The majority of dog owners do pick up their dog mess, but there are the few who don't. I have on many occasions caught several of the same people many times thinking they can get away with not clearing up. I always ... [ more ]
Just wanted ideas can't do things before I know how to do it. Then I take action. I did not get where I am today by not putting things into action. Unemployed with no idea what direction you want to go?
Now living in ipswich. Hmmmm Is there a James turner street in Ipswich ?
Hi. Nice idea. What's your experience in football? Are you qualified? CRB checked? There are lots of football teams in Ipswich, how about helping one of them and gaining insight from the parents and kids involved?
Hi. As Sticky-Beak says, why not volunteer to help out a local team, especially if you have experience, I am sure they would be grateful for the help. As for the 'money making' side, I don't see this being a full employment possibility, as all teams I ... [ more ]
Who else bar the people who are running the brownies would know as to wether there are vacancies? Some parent spouting off saying there is vacancies does not mean there is. Listen to the organ grinder not the monkey. There could also be the possibility ... [ more ]
Holly p. By you stating that all people are imperfect you are presuming that emalkuda is trying to say they are with out it being written. Hmmmm bit presumptious. No jibes, what exactly was your reply? I must admit after reading there is no ... [ more ]
Yep. Heard again. This has been going on and off for months. That's the railway for you.
My mistake. I thought the council read street life just in case of any such queries.
The hill was there when you moved in. I'm sure if your dirty bin is full it won't get blown over. As for not having transport that's down to your own personel choice, not the poor old bin men having to do even longer hours and the council having to pay ... [ more ]
I am sure you probably have not heard of any of this but would appreciate it if there was any way you could find out as to why the Evening Star would fail to publicise these events, unlike the likes of BBC Suffolk, Classic FM and ITV who have these ... [ more ]
Jackie t In it together is a problem, to many people still want, want, want. If you have debts and not enough money you have to cut back. People on long term job seekers (don't know any who seek) should do the same, no luxury's, sky tv, fags, booze, ... [ more ]
Well jackie, didn't want to do any public sector jobs apart from I had a few years in the army who don't strike and just get on with the job they choose. Spat at etc etc i worked the doors in town for a few years also, it was one of the down sides but ... [ more ]
There is a lot to learn on YouTube, if you watch the hodge twins, pick the ones that apply to you and chris jones. Warning for anyone who does go to watch these with delicate ears they do swear. I'm sure you will find these useful.
Peter, I did say push us towards a hose pipe ban. Gardens are also a Whole lot smaller.
And how many people are now drinking more water , filling paddling pools, topping up ponds watering flowers? With heat like this the only things that shouldn't be eased up on are drinking water and hygienic uses. At the moment maybe a lot of water but ... [ more ]
Abit of water, really? It's also not a moan. I don't know if they do, but if all the pitches and fields use sprinklers during this type of weather it is a Huge amount of water being used along with everybody's increased intake.
Maybe it would have been a good idea to find out how they manage? Do they have hose pipe bans and get Told to be carefull with water as Fresh water levels are low? We Do, even Though it rains and rains again.
Disgusting. I hope it is not happening again, as a street, we lost a lot of cats a couple of years ago. A couple of months ago it was in the Evening Star about a road in Ipswich that was now being investigated, as a lot of cats had been poisoned. Maybe ... [ more ]
If they are breaking up fridges and freezers that is illegal as they are releasing CFCs into the atmosphere. Report them with address to environment agency.
Could you get the eadt involved? Shame the authority's into doing something.
Dozy, I'm quite happy with Thatcherism, this problem seems to be when labour opened the flood gates to all the immigrants who they then bribed with huge amounts of welfare (taxpayers) money to vote for them, all this squandered money put us into HUGE ... [ more ]

Thanks for that, it was cleaner ipswich I spoke to.
Jade A, please don't take this personally but we shouldn't have to keep phoning, emailing with repat requests to get things done. Many people like myself with young families also do not have the time to attend these meetings, I also do not have or want a ... [ more ]

Apparently there is another recycling site on the other side of town that also pay for bedding - does anyone know of this?
I have tonight been told there are defiantly 2 separate companies on the site near Asda. There is also apparently a big difference in payment and their customer service!
