We are a group of volunteers who aim to preserve, maintain and enhance Addiscombe Railway Park and promote its use and enjoyment by the local community and members of the public.  We meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month in the park at 2pm.  The park also hosts a number of community events throughout the year.  We welcome support from all, whether you wish to have your say, help with conservation or just participate in events, we would love to hear from you.

The park is situated between Morland Road to the North and Dalmally Road to the South. This linear park occupies 1.3 hectares (3.3 acres) and is approximately 800 metres long. Entrances are located at :

• The Blackhorse Lane, Tram Stop entrance to the North of the park.
• Dalmally Passage which links Morland Road at the pedestrian crossing with Dalmally Road providing access to the centre of the park.
• East India Way to the South of the Park.

Originally used since 1854 as the main railway line into Croydon and the then St James Station, in 1997 was closed in order for the TramLink project to use parts of the line for a service to Beckenham. By 2007 local residents had formed a Park Friends group and the Council officially named and opened the Addiscombe Railway Park as Croydon’s youngest park.

The park features a watercourse, wildflower meadow, guerrilla allotments, a community orchard featuring a beloved very old (and very rare) Black Jack Apple Tree and a community garden build in June 2016.

Group Community Gardening sessions take place every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm until 7.30pm, although the garden is open all the time that the park is so come on down!
