This creates a floating spatial impression and a larger open floor space. Rough&Ready Curved Hover Shades are a modular system based on wooden beams. and are part of Streetlife’s Rough&Ready Range. The beams are attached in a smart and attractive way to thick-walled Streetlock® combs, which form an integral part of the structure. The steel structure is available in hot-dip galvanised or powder coated steel. As standard, Rough&Ready Shades are manufactured in Accoya, a naturally preserved wood, affording higher decay resistance, increased hardness and extremely good form stability (fewer cracks and less bending and torsion). Approximately 40% lighter in weight than hardwood, Accoya greatly enhances the stability of the Rough&Ready Curved Hover Shade. Accoya is knot-free and sand yellowish in colour and displays visible grey lines of the wood grain. Preserved Accoya has a lifespan of around 50 years and ages slowly as a result of exposure to sunlight.
