Rough&Ready Oval Tree Isles
Large public spaces require proportionally larger interventions. Rough&Ready Oval Tree Isles measure a minimum of 9 m - 30 ft in length and approximately 4 m - 13 ft in width, perfect for making vast spaces more welcoming. An outer radius of at least 3 m - 10 ft is required to install border seating along the short ends of an isle. Rough&Ready beams are positioned radially to prevent skateboarders from skating along seat edges. The Corten steel structures do not require their own foundation – standard depth below ground level is 15 cm - 6”. A cambered fill allows trees with larger root balls to be planted. Tree Isles can be aesthetically implemented using permeable drainage strip around their Corten steel walls.
